i think i really dig my life right now. i dont know if it has anything to do with the fact that i'm on vacation, and that school doesn't start for me til 1st March...or if its really in all honesty, just me. i'd like to think its the latter, but of course, truth be told, much of my day hinges on the excitement of going home. but whatever it is, i really am in a good place right now. i'm content, happy even. i know i've said this many times, but i cant seem to say it enough: i am so incredibly grateful for the friends i have. honest to god. i love each and every one of them (and its not one of those "oooh i love you!!" types of i love you). it just struck me the other day how easy it is for you to profess unlimited love toward a friend, and vice versa. the hard part is applying it. (and we dont mean rib cage crushing hugs, and school girl gushes of love and affection) we do the omigod-i-love-you-soooo-much thing really well--think of that as the theory section in a test of friendship. how do we fare on the practical? the part that requires us to extend ourselves beyond the confines of the simple declarations of love?
happy 21st birthday Ling, sometimes i really think i love you more than life itself :) sorry i cant be there again.
